Without any overclocking, the power consumption remains relatively similar between the i9-13900K and i7-13700K. Your earlier concern about a 1000W PSU was likely based on a 4090 or 13700K setup, which works well with that power rating. For the newer 13900K, a 1000W unit should still suffice unless you have very high performance demands.

They haven't been released yet; everything we mention remains just guesswork. Check back in a day or two once the review holds off.

A good quality 1000w is plenty! 13700k=12900k roughly. Paper math the 12900k isn't going over 300w stock. A rtx 4090 isn't going over 450w stock. That's 750w. Plenty of room on a 1000w. 13900k? Let's go worst case scenario and say it uses 350w under stock load (it's gonna be less) with a 450w GPU. That's 800w. You're still good. Overall, it's all good.
