I've attempted to boost the CPU speed but reached 4.9. It might be the processor itself, or the motherboard may not perform well enough. Since I received a Z370, it could also be related.

The 5600X offers only minor improvements in games. Spending extra on a new graphics card might not be worthwhile. Stick with your 9900K. New features don’t always mean a 9900K is bad suddenly. Once you hit 1440p or higher, the 5600X will likely not feel much faster. Keep in mind that many performance claims for newer CPUs are tested at 1080p with moderate settings to mimic a tougher bottleneck. Actual results are usually lower. I’d keep the 9900K since it remains one of the top gaming CPUs available. I might consider upgrading to an AM5 DDR5 socket later.

It doesn't seem like a good deal. If you can afford to waste money, go for a Ryzen 9 5900X and a solid motherboard. But with just a 5600X, it's not worth it. A 9900K is still better than most gaming CPUs.
