Hey there! You're weighing two strong options for your build: the Ryzen 7 7800X3D and the Ryzen 9 7950X3D. Since you're focused on gaming and editing, both will handle the load well, but the Ryzen 9 offers more power for demanding tasks. For a solid motherboard match, go with something like the ASUS ROG Strix Z690 Pro or MSI MEG, which support both CPUs and give great performance.

Is this about editing videos for entertainment or something still in development? 7800x3D and 7950x3D seem like high-res specs—buy only if you really need them. Most B650 boards work well, but the best choice depends on your location.

I work in photography and video production, focusing on FPS games such as Valorant and CS:GO, with occasional projects in other genres.

For long hours of video, 7950x works well; 7800x3D is fine too, depending on clip length. I don’t suggest 7950x3D because some users have faced scheduling problems. If those weren’t an issue, I’d recommend it, but be aware of the potential delays.
