Hello, I’d like to hear more about the advantages and disadvantages of these CPUs. You mentioned AM5 chipsets and DDR5 RAM, especially how they affect performance in 1080p gaming with a 7800X3D graphics card. Generally, most games see only a 10-12% improvement at that resolution. If you’re not tight on budget, the extra cost might be worth it for better stability and future-proofing.

It tends to hover around 20% on average, with certain titles offering significantly more gains—like CS:GO which is nearly half a second quicker. For other advantages, AM5 introduces new CPUs and lets you upgrade RAM across future builds, whereas AM4 is largely obsolete. The decision hinges on pricing variations and whether you already have AM4 hardware. In the US, a 7800X3D can be purchased for about $600, while a 5800X3D costs roughly $520. That extra $80 seems worthwhile, particularly when pairing it with a full system rebuild, but if you already own AM4 parts, the 5800X3D might be the better choice.

The only reason to get the 5800X3D is if you're upgrading your current rig with an AM4 CPU and find a good and cheap deal on a USED one, if you're buying new there isn't much of a reason to get 5800X3D anymore. But also do be aware that the X3D CPUs are mostly gaming only processors, and if you do any sort of serious and professional productivity then you shouldn't really consider them for the money you pay for them.

It doesn't work well beyond gaming. Not much else to say.

Consider purchasing a fresh setup for your needs. For programming, Rust is a solid choice. To build a business website, handle taxes, and manage workflows, you'll need both CPU and GPU power.

creating basic websites and handling taxes should work well on a 7800X3D, making it one of the top two gaming CPUs available. If you have other tasks beyond web design, a 13th generation Intel processor from 13600K to 14900K would suit both gaming and productivity needs. You can opt for the 7800X3D if your workload stays simple. For 1080p gaming, there are many options—perhaps a 4070 would be wise if you upgrade later. A used 3060 will also perform adequately on a 1080p display.
