For most other scenarios, the R9 3900X performs better. If you're using an Intel CPU, consider the 8C/16T 9900K or higher models; the 8C/8T versions of the 9700K might face challenges as developers add more threads and cores. An 8C/16T 3700X would be a safer choice for general gaming.
