Hey everyone, I have a confusing thought. I just began my first PC build and am now stuck at the CPU level. I already have an MSI Z390 Tomahawk, Corsair Vengeance Pro RAM, and nzxt Kraken X53. But lately, CPU prices in my country have jumped because of all the hype around Corona. Now I’m wondering whether to get an i7-9700K or an i5-9600K to go with a RTX 2070 Super or 2080. It’s mostly for gaming and maybe some light video editing—no prior experience there. Could you give some advice? Should I save up for the better option or go with the cheaper one?
Doesn't the 8700K fit in that board? Look for a used one at a lower price if it supports an i7.
Understood, thanks. I attempted to locate 8700k but didn’t find many results. Not sure why it’s missing or what might be causing the problem.
There’s no solid need to upgrade for gaming, so it’s unlikely anyone will get rid of them. Probably shouldn’t purchase a PC in parts—an R5 3600 would’ve been better unless you could swap the motherboard.
