The Ryzen series is too expensive in my region, while the R7 3700x is only 20-30 USD cheaper than the i7 10700k. My system runs gaming, MS Office, and light tasks. I’m considering upgrading from a GTX 1070 to a 3070 or 3080. Would it be worth spending the extra 20 USD for an i7 10700k?

For your needs, the 10700K seems suitable; a 10600K would also be adequate.

For pure gaming, a 10600k offers solid performance and matches the 10700k in most titles. Since they don’t fully utilize 8 cores, it doesn’t scale as much. The 10700k edges slightly ahead in games, but a 10600k still works well.
