Most CPUs avoided scaling the performance, except for GPUs which performed better.

The third-party vendors on Newegg increased prices by at least a hundred dollars plus extra shipping costs, or offered free delivery when the CPU cost around $1,000 or less. Occasionally this happened.

The 5600x and 5800x were straightforward to secure at the MSRP, while the 5900x and 5950x proved more challenging to obtain.

Up here in Canada the 5600X is available for 379, but when I purchased it I paid 430 plus taxes, totaling around 450 plus change. I believe I covered about 806 in taxes and shipping for my 5900X, and five days later the price fell by 50 dollars. Still a bit disappointed. I bought from Newegg and they handled the shipping; none of those third-party offers came through. It seems they were more than a hundred dollars higher than what Newegg offered. That’s fine, apparently I’m worth it.

I recently upgraded my 3600X to a 5800X about a week ago and have seen significant differences in MSFS 2020 performance between the two CPUs. It’s nice knowing Amazon was offering the 5800X for $50 off, allowing you to purchase it under $400. I’m really satisfied with the upgrade.

Awesome! I believe a 5800x will require me to purchase used or bid on it since a new one feels too expensive for me. Still, I’m planning to go for it.
