The numbers show a 50% rise, which is a significant jump. You might describe the opposite as a 33% decline. This scenario has only been observed occasionally in the past. In the past, a 6600k stock would run near 90fps with SLI 980Ti in FFXIV, but it barely exceeded 60fps on a Ryzen 1700. I haven’t tried this with the latest Ryzen models yet.

Based on what I've seen, a 3600 doesn't work well. With strong cooling, turning on PBO helps but only slightly improves things. Doing manual adjustments isn't worth the effort.

Just to confirm, you're referring to a 1060 6GB RAM system. Your Ryzen 5 3600 CPU isn't fast enough for that graphics card, but it performed well with the RX 5700. If you switch to the 3080, things might get really bad?

It's the straightforward overclock setting on Zen 2 processors. It mainly raises power and other restrictions, allowing the CPU to perform better. At this stage, it's recommended to just enjoy gaming unless you notice the speed is insufficient.

And the 7700K could handle 4.5ghz easily. Most of these chips reached 4.8-5.0ghz with strong liquid cooling. In the early days, Intel cores could drop by as much as 20°C. Back then, Intel chips hitting 5ghz were common, usually around 4.5 to 4.6ghz. That was pretty close to what I ran my 2500K for. Anyway, if you want more performance from AMD, you should optimize the memory and RAM speeds as much as possible. It’s a reliable method to boost performance.
