I understand you're comparing three streaming platforms and looking for the best supported game options. The key concern is having reliable games, especially with your interest in supported titles. Regarding Nvidia's Grid service, it seems to have limited performance currently, but fiber installation in your area might improve it over time. For your purchase decision—Shield, Forge TV, or Steam Link—focus on which service offers the most available PC games. Your preference for PC gaming and the lack of strong Android options will likely guide your choice.

i've got steam inhome configured with two htpc's, it usually runs smoothly. i own a decent router and network setup, though shield streaming works fine. i've used it a few times on my tablet for streaming, but only a handful of games are supported. with around 600 games, maybe 30 are compatible, and i haven't played many racers yet. steams remains the best option i've tried.

It’s unrelated to connection speed; performance depends on your local network setup. With compatible hardware and Cat5e/6 cables, speeds can reach up to 1Gbps.

Steam Link offers the full library for just $50. The shield’s high price seems unfair given its value. Why does it cost $449 on Amazon and Newegg?

It's pretty close to the price of a GTX 980.

Refusing to simplify: the Grid Streaming feature from Nvidia is a specialized technology designed for efficient data handling across networks.
