You're weighing two strong options for your gaming rig. The MSI MEG X570 GODLIKE and the ASUS ROG X570 CROSSHAIR VIII EXTREME both look capable with your R9 5950x and RTX 3090. The Godlike already exists, but the new ASUS model offers some fresh features you might appreciate. Check out the links for a clearer comparison.
They're way too much for the job, so skip buying a new board. At this price you're probably getting boards meant for extreme overclocking, and the crosshair is built for that too. Unless you're into heavy overclocking, it's not worth it—even with top-end gear, most people don't overclock anymore. And why would anyone want an MSI model anyway? These things are super expensive.
I observed that the latest x570 boards now feature passive cooling instead of built-in fans. I wanted to know if there were additional advantages to this change. Regarding the power phase differences between the two models, as well as bios compatibility, I was curious about whether upgrading to Windows 11 would meet the necessary requirements. I also checked if the ROG board is already supported by it. Additionally, I was interested in whether water cooling would be more effective for this setup.
It makes perfect sense. I've been improving a lot over the past year, and it really felt powerful. It came with some awesome features and matched the look I was aiming for. I just wanted the top things, you know?
