In this era just like now, when new generations are coming online, you can find VR-ready powerful laptops for around £1500, and similarly affordable VR desktops exist. The latest models are really pushing boundaries and things look promising! I’m mainly considering the laptop option because it would let me run VR demos easily and set up roomscale quickly without dealing with a full desktop setup. Safe to say it’ll be a game-changer! Cheers, Lewis

I'm using an MSI GT72 Dominator Pro paired with a 980 for portability and streaming needs. For gaming or work at home I have a high-end build featuring a 5820k at 4.4 GHz and a future GTX 1080. Each component serves a different purpose. My question is: why not have both?

Sure, it makes sense if you have some cash available.

Unless you work in a professional capacity, a traditional desktop setup is better, since I prefer using external devices such as mechanical keyboards. Very few laptops come equipped with them!
