Compare Gigabyte Aorus Ultra and Asus Prime PRO for a detailed tech review.
For users without a need for WiFi, the Asus TUF offers better value at $5 less than the Prime Pro.
Among all discussed options, the typical TUF version without Wi-Fi stands out.
I just have a different opinion. Prime Pro offers higher quality and performs better compared to TUF. The audio chip is superior, the cooler handles heat better, and the VRMs have better thermal management. I believe there isn’t a fair comparison between TUF and Prime Pro. ... So I went back to my original question about which board is better overall: Aorus Ultra or Asus Pro?
They both use the Realtek S1220A chip. It doesn’t have any branding from SupremeFX—it just looks like a simple sticker. There are four phase mode Vishay SiC639 DRMos chips under the heatsink. The photos aren’t detailed enough to tell if the TUF model has a heatsink or if it’s finned like the Aorus Ultra. The VRM thermal performance was checked with an infrared camera on top of the heatsink. The review also mentions that the measured temperatures are only on the heatsink surface, not the actual VRM temperature. Metal conducts heat well, but the whole heatsink doesn’t stay uniformly hot. The Aorus Ultra and Asus X570-E are similar in design, while the Prime Pro is a white TUF board with Intel branding.
Lie, TUF Realtek ® S1200A Exclusive DTS Custom is a premium gaming headset audio solution. It features dedicated audio PCB layers, Japanese audio capacitors, and PRIME PRO Crystal Sound technology. The design includes EMI protection with a codec cover, all crafted for immersive sound quality.
I understand TUF isn't clear, so Prime Pro is the alternative. All three models share the same motherboard design—identical components.
Realtek 1200A matches Realtek 1220A with Crystal Sound 3? Sounds like you're into TUF fun! Cool, thanks for the support!
Absolutely, a bigger sticker gig would be great if it makes a real impact. Also, getting a decent sound card would boost quality by at least 100 times.
