Hi everyone, I’ve been using a dual PC rig with two 4790K GPUs for streaming. The streaming machine has consistently hit 100% CPU usage during streams. I’m weighing whether to upgrade the streaming PC to a 3700X and stick with the dual setup or invest in a more powerful CPU like the 3900X and switch back to a single PC configuration. What do you think?
The system is running at maximum CPU usage due to the encoding configuration.
You're running the NVENC encoder on an older GTX680 graphics card in your streaming setup.
the 4790K shouldn't be a bottleneck if you're only using it as a capture device, check your settings you're probably doing something wrong.
I own a GTX1080 on my primary system. No matter which encoder I select, the main issue is that whenever I load any animation through a web source, performance jumps to 100%. For context, my BRB screen running a local video and browser content with social media handles uses 90% CPU. I've experimented with various settings—switching acceleration modes, hiding browser tabs when not in use (which improved things)—but nothing has resolved the problem.
