I recently relocated from a 900 sq ft condo to a 3000 sq ft ranch-style home. The property spans two floors, each measuring 1200 sq ft. Constructed in the 1960s across the northeastern United States, I recently sold my Nest 3-pack Wi-Fi system because of frequent disconnections during movement. I’ve already removed one access point and positioned the router at one end, with another at the opposite end of the house. While coverage was decent, I faced issues with signal loss and a lack of a dedicated 2.4 GHz network for smart devices. I’m seeking a robust single router that can be installed in the top corner of the house—the main entry point for Wi-Fi. I’m comfortable running a cable along ceiling hallways but prefer not to do so for appearance reasons. Currently, I’m using a TP Link AX 1500 router ($70), which doesn’t reach my lower floor or throughout the house. Could you offer recommendations?
