You're wondering if your current plan was worth it compared to a newer model. The Asus AC58U offers 100 Mbps, while the AC53U provides up to 1200 Mbps with similar hardware specs. The main difference is the extra antennae on the 58U, which might improve signal quality in certain areas. Whether it's worth it depends on your usage patterns—if you're in a spot with weak coverage, the extra antennas could help. Otherwise, the speed boost from the 58U may not be necessary.

The pricier options offer greater variety and more choices. They’re more likely to provide a broader range of possibilities in various scenarios. If your needs require complete “up to” coverage, the 53u might be the right fit. You may not be expecting it. It’s quite possible you won’t even reach full speed with the 56. Similar to Wi-Fi, this applies here.
