Hello everyone. I looking to buy the following: AMD Ryzen 5 9600X for 200$ ASUS PRIME B650M-R 16x2 ddr5 ram vs AMD Ryzen 5 7500F for 150$ ASUS PRIME B650M-R 16x2 ddr5 ram Now I know that the AMD Ryzen 5 9600X is better overall, but is it worth it? being new gen and all ? AMD Ryzen 5 7600x is same as 9600x so I would rather go for 9600x. overall I would like to get as much power as I can and any thing higher than those is for 320$ which is not an option.

It makes sense to consider the overall value. You're thinking in terms of a $50 savings instead of just focusing on the CPU upgrade. I usually see my setup as a full project, where each part affects the whole. What about the rest of the build? It should be evaluated as a complete system, not just one component. Edit: I really dislike the 7500F, no matter what. It just feels like a cheap, outdated 7600 they discarded for the less serious crowd. No.

I already received the GPU RX 5060 Ti as a gift, now I just need to upgrade these.

The 9600X looks like a great fit. It's a very reliable machine, though some prefer the 7500F. There might be arguments for it, but a $50 advantage doesn't seem worth the $1000 price tag.

I appreciate that choice. I will proceed with the 9600x option.
