I activated the power connectors and attempted a restart to establish a connection. I mistakenly selected the incorrect pins, causing a short circuit on the motherboard. Should I be concerned about the functionality of RAM, CPU, M.2, or GPU?

Did you hit the incorrect pins and think it might have shorted? Or did you touch the pins and they delivered a sudden shock? Since the front panel header seems sturdy, it’s likely safe to experiment.

Verify, my approach for booting a system using a screwdriver is to run it across every pin until it begins, since I don’t have time to check the pinout in the manual.

Welcome to the discussion boards! If you noticed sparks coming from a front panel connector pin, it’s clear something went wrong. These components are meant to operate on 5V standby power. You might have detected ozone. Regardless, attempt to power it up.
