The standard Raspbian works well. You can also add Arch if needed.

Linux systems are ideal for these tasks. Also, explore the newest Ubuntu releases—they handle multitasking smoothly and operate very quickly (though I mean alternative versions without DE).

I wasn't able to obtain my Pi using standard methods, so it wasn't included with Raspian. Actually, it is available.
