I'm not sure how to set it up, to be honest. I'm a bit unsure about the BIOS settings.
what do you mean the configuration? For what? The ram latency? Keep it on auto if theres a setting. if not then leave it
The problem begins when I enable dual channel, but if I maintain them individually—one per channel—they function as 8 plus 16.

There are two distinct CAS Latency Primary settings: Cas Latency (tcl) and Secondary timing: Cas write latency (tcwl). They're configured to auto, but altering your RAM from an 8GB stick to a 16GB stick will affect the primary timing values. The 16GB stick displays 16, while the 8GB stick shows 12.
I also avoided using dual-channel settings, ensuring each channel had different brands, which resolved the issue. However, it displayed only 48GB of RAM, and during load it would increase to 8.2GB before triggering a blue screen.
