Hello everyone, I have a brief inquiry about combining memory sizes from the same brand and CL kits. Currently, I'm using a 16 GB kit running at 3200 MHz with Corsair Vengeance Pro. I'm aiming for a total of 64 GB but wanted to add 32 GB to fill the two empty slots. While searching, I found mixed advice and decided to ask for more details. Could you share any downsides to buying two identical kits—like getting two 2-pair sets instead of one 4-pack? Also, thanks in advance for any helpful tips. For context, my setup includes a Z590 Aorus Pro AX i7-11700k and no graphics card yet.

Memory options vary in performance as long as they exceed the recommended rates for your device. It’s best to match modules with the same speed as those already in your setup. Mixing speeds means all modules will operate at the pace of your least powerful ones.

It seems some believe a bundled set of four is preferable to two separate two-stick packs. Whether this holds up depends on your needs and the product's design.
