Combining RAM with various CAS latencies
Hello. You're thinking about boosting your PC's performance by adding more RAM. You currently own a Kingston kit (link), and you're considering upgrading to a Gigabyte Aorus B450 Pro motherboard. Your concern is whether the new sticks will work despite the older model. That's a valid question—though the kits are similar, compatibility can depend on specific specifications like memory timings, capacity limits, and motherboard support. Checking the latest data sheets for both boards will help confirm if they're fully compatible.
50% chance of issues. Unless somebody has tried with the exact same hardware, nobody can really say. The system will default to the lowest speed and timing sets. But at defaults 2133mhz, they should run the same Jedec profile with timings of 15-15-15. Good luck!
