Hey there! I've been here a while now, and I've upgraded my RAM from 16GB to 32GB because I started running into full capacity. I also spotted a decent offer for the Crucial Ballistix 16GB Kit (two 8GB modules) on Amazon with their return policy, so I decided to give it a shot even though it's not exactly the same as my current setup. Until now, I was using Trident Z Neo 16GB (two 8GB modules) with DDR4-3600 CL16. I installed them on my ASUS TUF GAMING B550M-PLUS (Wi-Fi) with a 5800x and enabled the DOCP profile at all settings. The system booted fine, and Windows displayed 32GB at 3600MHz. Just when I thought things were stable, I ran a memory test and it failed on tests 4 and 5. I disabled the DOCP profile, tried full auto speeds, and everything worked without errors. So I guess the kits are compatible, but they have different latency characteristics. I re-enabled DOCP and adjusted the latencies to match the higher kit, then ran memtest86 again. No errors appeared—just the first 8 tests. I’m pretty confident now, but I’ll keep an eye on things before returning the new RAM for a bit of troubleshooting.

For better performance, try swapping 19's with 18's. Adjust tRAS to 38 and tRc to 76. You might also manually boost the RAM voltage by 1.360 to avoid voltage drop. In the secondary section of memory timings, turn off "power down mode." Disabling "gear down mode" lets you configure odd number Cas latencies. If problems persist, continue testing at 3200mt/s. The CPU memory controller supports higher speeds. However, if results remain inconsistent, proceed with further testing at 3200mt/s.

Thanks for the response, I'll attempt it again tomorrow because it's quite late already (Europe time) and I like to sleep with the PC running. However, I believe 18 was the setting that was automatically applied and failed, so I'll adjust my expectations now. Also, I plan to test some memory-intensive programs tomorrow as you suggested.
