Combine system partitions into one unit Merge storage segments together Unify partitions for better management
Hello everyone, my friend assisted me in setting up my computer with a 120 GB SSD. During the disk management process, it appears he split my system files across two partitions. The first partition has roughly 100 MB reserved for system files, while another section holds Boot, Page File, and Crash Dump. Can I combine the 100 MB system partition with the one containing those essential files? That remaining space should account for about 119 GB. Thanks!
It looks like you're questioning whether everything is just system files and wondering about merging or partitioning. You mentioned wanting a dedicated space for a large game, but feel limited by available storage—only 17% of the second partition remains.
You may add more partitions as needed. To generate unused space, you need to reduce the size of the primary partition, which will later allow formatting of the available area.
It's odd how my system files occupy most of the SSD space, probably because of lots of photos I haven't backed up yet. I believe the space I could free was around 10 GB, which would fit into a different partition on the same drive.
Based on my observations, it starts up automatically. There was a partition on my hard drive while the main operating system ran on my SSD. When I removed the hard drive, Windows wouldn't launch. I also noticed a black screen with an underscore that was flashing.
