Memory blending isn't advised, yet the chances of failure are minimal with a solid controller like the 3600 at 2666MHz. If the system starts up, it should be okay. For a 2x16GB setup, opt for a 3200MHz model. The likelihood of success matches the 2666MHz version, though cost might be similar or lower. Running a 32GB kit at 3200MHz could outperform a 2666MHz 48GB configuration if your RAM stays under 32GB.
