Hello everyone, your idea sounds solid. The i5 10400F paired with a budget B560 motherboard seems like a smart choice. Upgrading to a higher clock speed like 3200 MHz can definitely boost performance, especially for gaming. For the B560 board, look for models that support those speeds and have good stability. Just ensure you get a reliable power supply and enough RAM for smooth operation.

I prefer the 11400, it adds roughly $30 and offers solid single-thread performance. If you wait until next year, the 12400 with a B660 board should be even more worthwhile. Faster RAM means quicker processing. The B560 Bazooka remains a solid choice for budget builds. Make sure your board includes good VRMs; many cheaper B560 models suffer from poor VRM design. Prioritize CPU performance and future-proofing over longevity. The market has changed rapidly in recent years, so upgrading often is necessary. Choose something capable enough, and upgrade when needed—overbuilding usually leads to shorter lifespan than regular updates.

For a gaming budget of $300, steer clear of i5 Gen 5-11. They're strong but costly. Alternatively, opt for AMD which is more affordable though less powerful than the i5 Gen 11. (Apologies if this differs from what you hear in Vietnam—there, they use CPU names and gen numbers like i5-4010U.)

It varies by region. In the US, the i5 11400 has been found as low as $140. The R5 3600, AMD's closest rival, starts around $200. The 10400 is even more affordable, typically between $150 and $160. Used models don’t follow the same pattern, but new 11th generation i5s are reasonably priced compared to Ryzen options.

Looking into reviews... The MSI B560M Pro is priced around $94. Comparing models, the B560M Pro Series offers additional features beyond the standard B560M Pro, while the B560M Pro vdh wifi lacks built-in connectivity.
