Hey everyone! I'm facing a bit of a problem with my setup. I'm using the newest NVIDIA Studio drivers on an RTX 3090 running Windows 11 25H2. My display is an LG 27GL850-B, set to 2560x1440 at 144hz via a DisplayPort 1.4 cable. Automatic Color Management is disabled in my settings. I'm not aiming for the brightest or most vivid output, and reviews suggest it's well-calibrated overall. Since I don’t have any calibration tools handy, I decided to stick with sRGB mode. But I’ve noticed the colors feel a bit too intense—especially reds seem almost blazing. I checked some online calibration images, and while I can tell the differences, it’s quite harsh to stare at for long. Brightness and contrast are both at 70/100, which is the recommended level, but the oversaturation makes it uncomfortable. Turning ACM off and leaving Reference Mode unchecked in the NVIDIA app seems to make the colors pop even more. When I switch ACM back on, the saturation tightens a bit. I also tried setting the panel to 10bpc, thinking that might help, but it didn’t change much—my desktop still shows 8bpc content. What should I do to get sRGB displayed more accurately without external tools?
Can you make a comparison pic to mine - I don't think it's oversaturated at all ? I'm using the same trusty settings since many years (they're from an older "true srgb" Asus monitor) Imo if you say it's oversaturated it's probably not calibrated well... My settings are Brightness 59 Contrast 70 All enhancements OFF color temp normal Just saying because if your brightness is 100 and you have *any* enhancements it's not surprising the image looks weird.
