Hey there! I installed the latest NVIDIA drivers version 572.47, but after doing so my colors looked faded and performance dropped noticeably. Once I reinstalled Windows, things improved, though the colors still seemed washed out. I checked Windows color settings, the NVIDIA control panel, and even tried other methods, but nothing resolved the issue. Anyone have any tips or solutions for this problem? I'm using an ASUS TUF with F15 RTX 3050 laptop.

Your screen might be being recognized as an HDMI display possibly due to recent driver updates that also modified the card firmware, causing it to detect it this way. Consider using a different cable—such as switching from DP to HDMI or HDMI to DP—or check if HDR settings are disabled.

Refers to upgrading from a lower resolution display (DP) to a higher one (HDMI).

If your display has dual connections, you might be able to swap in another cable and try it out. It could potentially resolve the issue.

Ah, I face the same problem when HDR is active. Have you verified both the NVIDIA driver and the right-click menu, as well as adjusted the display settings? Sometimes just one of these steps fixes the issue.

I also noted that I cleaned it out, and the colors remain consistent.

It seems there might be something configured for the GPU in the BIOS. Laptops can behave oddly when it comes to settings. Also, have you tried doing a DDU and installing the latest drivers? That could help if the problem is related to drivers. I've noticed similar issues when G-Sync is enabled.
