Since the 1803 update and the removal of Homegroup from Windows 10, sharing files between my two Windows 10 machines has been problematic. I've searched extensively on Google and YouTube but found no solution. My PC2 appears correctly in the network list, yet clicking on PC1 triggers the error code 0x80070035. Neither machine shows up in Explorer. Restoring to an earlier version resolved the issue. Unfortunately, updates can't be blocked entirely. I can still reach PC1 from PC2, but not vice versa. Anyone else encountered this problem and has advice? Thanks ahead.

The workaround I’ve tried so far is navigating to "Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features" (copy-paste into the explorers menu bar) or pressing WinKey+R, typing appwiz.cpl, and selecting "Turn windows features on or off." Find the SMB 1.0/CIFS File sharing support, choose Client and Server if you need to share files on that machine. This version has security concerns, but it functions at least until Microsoft addresses the problem.

I've already tried that too—it didn't help. I formatted both PCs and installed clean Windows 10 versions, then updated them fully. The issue still persists. I've searched online nonstop without success. Rolling back to an earlier build does work temporarily, but it's just a stopgap as Windows will update again. Microsoft is now charging for phone support, which frustrates me. They seem to blame me for the problem and want to charge for assistance.
