Been playing COD for a long time and have noticed recent changes introducing RICOCHET anti-cheat at the kernel level. My last session was in 2015/16 until my oldest joined, which caused major issues. Now PC is completely unusable—every edit, lobby load, or campaign crashes. The latest update broke everything, reverting to 2019 Modern Warfare functionality. They released a newer patch with kernel-level protection, but I’m worried about data, OS, and drivers given their history of instability. This feels risky. I’ve stopped PC gaming for a while; I’m considering community advice before updating again.
