I appreciate the franchise, but the earliest version you liked was quite old. The newest installment feels more appealing to you. From what I understand, the original Black Ops had porting issues on PC and might not run smoothly on modern systems. Since it was built for Windows 7, it should work fine on Windows 10. You might prefer skipping the PC version altogether and opting for a physical disc for your Xbox 360 instead. I see you're considering keeping your PS4 separate—sounds like a solid plan!

Keep COD on the console, let the PCMR maintain its good standing.

I successfully resolved your issue completely. For gaming, I’d enjoy playing Black Ops on my PC, though I can connect via DP and Xbox using HDMI. If the PC port isn’t reliable, I might consider getting a second PS4 or using Remote Play for PC.

He provided you with a solution. Avoid purchasing COD for PC when you own a console—it's not worth the hassle of dealing with all these issues on PC because they don't properly adapt it. BO1 doesn't run well, BO2 is slightly better but still not ideal, and BO3 is quite problematic. Just opt for the console version.

I have no issues with BO3 on PC. Don't really have advice for you, though.

It seems you're considering whether Remote Play via Ethernet maintains image quality compared to Wi-Fi or if upgrading hardware might be better.

I own Black Ops 3, Black Ops 1, and Black Ops 1 is popular across all versions. It works well on my 980 and 4690k without any issues. A fellow gamer who loves Black Ops 1 on the 360 also mentioned it’s better on PC. I purchased it from G2A for £3.96, which makes it a good value. It runs smoothly and offers many servers.

I mainly prefer offline content. If the lobbies aren’t flooded by hackers, cheaters, or DDoS attacks, I might enjoy playing there. I could purchase all three titles on Steam. Should they not meet expectations, I can request a refund. I’d get a replacement original Black Ops disc for the 360 and simply return any games that didn’t meet my standards, as this option is available now on Steam. I’m using an i5 6600K with R9 390X.
