We’re aware that Call of Duty titles are currently 50% off on Steam this weekend. I was considering purchasing Call of Duty 4 because, as everyone knows, it’s a great game. But how many people actually play it on PC? It seems less popular now, yet Black Ops 2 still holds value at around £20. I just want to satisfy that craving for Call of Duty and find out if the new releases are really worth the streaming rush.

More individuals choose this option than others since players can set up their own servers. Cod4 stands out because of this feature.

I keep playing CoD:4 regularly and there’s a big active group still around. There are many standard servers and some modded ones using Promod, Prophunt, Deathrun, etc. The BO2 scene is much bigger but has more people who are... Well, let's just say they’re not always the best. CoD4 seems to attract a more experienced player base, at least from what I see.

CoD 5 is top of the list, especially for bolt-action rifles. CoD 4 comes in second, though I dislike the wallspray feature—it lets bullets blast through walls everywhere. The P90’s movement speed boost is impressive; it feels like sprinting as a fast runner and easily clearing obstacles.

It seems the CoD 4 community is still active. I plan to purchase it later, after gathering a few more opinions. I prefer CoD 4 because of its straightforward design. I haven’t bought another CoD title since Black Ops, as they’ve become increasingly poor. I assumed BO2 would be similar, but if players remain in CoD 4, I’ll definitely buy it again.

I’d rate COD 4 as solid, the community and player base are lively, and Promod is excellent. Cod 4s priced at $10 on Amazon is available here: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ATF5YZM/?tag=epicb-20 Updated August 29, 2014 by theloveablemoose
