CMOS reset attempt didn't resolve the DRAM troubleshooting problem in MB.
Orange DRAM indicator lights up after swapping RAM. I replaced faulty sticks and followed the new settings plus over-clocking. When booting, the orange light stays on but no display appears. All components power up except the keyboard. Resetting CMOS helped temporarily, but it still shows the orange light. I’m considering replacing the defective modules entirely. Any advice or fixes? Thanks.
Start with a single stick test. If successful, enable BIOS and look for MRC fast boot, turning it off. This feature bypasses memory training to reduce boot time, but may be necessary for your setup. Also consider updating the BIOS if needed.
Your previous RAM had issues but still allowed posting and viewing bios. If possible, use one or both of the old RAM sticks, navigate to BIOS settings, and disable MRC fast boot (look for a search field to locate it). Once done, test the new RAM again.
the faulty ram was reported before the swap. i tested each stick individually and together, but nothing worked.
