I want to build a cluster using Raspberry Pi devices. I've seen some tutorials but I'm still confused. They're all no-guide versions, and I'd like to use them as a stylish desktop alongside my main computer. I also want it to help speed up rendering on my current PC.

I understand what cluster computing is, and I wasn’t sure it would really improve my PC, but I was optimistic.

K suggests someone more patient who can clarify how a cluster functions similarly to a desktop would assist you quickly.

I'm here to help clarify. Could you share more details about what you're trying to set up? That way, I can explain it in a better way.

We need to decide what to group together—storage, calculations, or something else. The best approach varies based on your needs, so there’s no single perfect method.

If I could spare time and have plenty of pie, I’d explore setting up a hypervisor across a few machines and test live migration of virtual guests. That knowledge would be valuable regardless of hardware quality. I’d also consider deploying load-balanced web servers.
