Hey, do you know of any free service for rendering online? Also, I’m using Vegas Pro 13 for editing—any suggestions? Thanks!

I haven’t tried any cloud rendering service before, but RebusFarm offers a free trial at an average cost. What programs are you working with? How urgent is your project deadline?

I ran my Mac Mini from late 2012, and it boots easily. Streaming HD 1080p with quality set to best is smooth, but rendering a 5-minute speedart takes about two hours.

Yeah, you have slow pc if it's dual core. If you have a quad core in there it should be enough. Look into optimizing your quality. H.264 and 20Mbit/s is max you should put it. If there is little movement you can lower the mbits even more as long as you can't see the artifacts. If you are planning to upload it on youtube, The quality can go even lower as they always compress it even more. What is the size of your speedart footage?

It seems your recording is unnecessarily large. Sony Vegas processes them slowly, and the higher quality setting adds more data. RenderFarms isn't affordable unless you're working on a big project with a tight deadline.
