Adjust the settings to display seconds directly from the calendar view. Check if there’s an option to show time in seconds within the calendar interface or use a third-party tool to map the clock to seconds.

Sure, though I’d have liked a fix that didn’t need removing the Windows 11 taskbar and instead just displayed the clock, this also functions.

You can view seconds through the old Date & Time settings panel. But there’s no choice in the task bar. I searched for alternatives and found they likely dropped support for seconds to prevent frequent redraws of the taskbar (refresh call). This might be an optimization adjustment since it was handled differently before. Insiders have noticed some enhancements, like a clock on secondary displays. Clearly, Microsoft is working on improvements. If you force seconds visibility, it still doesn’t appear in the taskbar but shows in the notification tray. The seconds remain unchanged. I need to close and reopen the calendar or notifications for them to update.

Sure, I might need to check my Apple Watch each time I want to see the time in seconds.

You're using Windows 11 with startback software and added a registry change to display taskbar clock seconds. It's functioning smoothly now, and you're able to see the seconds as they did in Windows 10. If you still want to recreate that experience, there are methods available to restore the original behavior. Win11 Taskbar Seconds.mp4

By reviewing the content above, you should be able to display and operate the seconds feature directly on the taskbar. If users are still experiencing issues, this approach functions effectively and is straightforward to implement.

The application is named 'startcallback' and was developed by the same team behind 'startisback'. Locate either title on their site to access the downloads! Startisback targets Windows 10, while Startcallback is designed for Windows 11.
