I was testing DOS 6.2.2 and Windows 3.1 inside VirtualBox. I wanted to check if I could play some classic titles. I located the ISO files at the provided link. It seems you’d just load the ISO into a disk, but how would you launch the games from there? Also, do any of your favorites stand out as enjoyable options?
A huge collection of outdated titles exists on InternetArchive (https://archive.org/details/softwarelibrary_msdos_games). These are played using DOSBox. A few are original copies made for C64 and Atari, but that's about it...
It’s definitely one of those games that stands out from the rest. While not as old, I find STALKER Lost Alpha to be an absolute blast. The visuals are nice, and the game world feels more authentic compared to the original. Of course, it’s not realistic in a traditional sense, but the design and mood are really impressive.
