My Chromebook stopped working yesterday, now ChromeOS is broken, and I'm trying to restore it using the recovery tool from Google. It seems none of the options I've tried—Windows 8.1, Linux Ubuntu 17.04, and ChromeOS itself—are functioning. I need it back online fast. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix this? I specifically want a genuine, Google-verified version of ChromeOS, not a modified one.

No, the Chrome extension did not create the recovery drive.

I encountered issues with delays on ChromeOS, while Windows keeps timing out consistently. I checked various storage devices.
