Many tech-savvy individuals encounter issues when non-experts tamper with their computers, adding unwanted toolbars, extensions, random pages, or search engines. It often leads to chaos. Google developed a useful Chrome reset utility that serves as a backup plan before a full Windows reinstall. The tool operates in two stages: first, it checks your system for intrusive add-ons; second, it removes extensions, restores browser defaults, and clears caches and cookies. While it’s not a replacement for strong security software, it can quickly resolve common problems. I haven’t tried it yet, but I’ll save it for future use. It’s currently limited to Windows users. It's ideal timing right now. I checked my friend's computer the other day, and he had a lot of junk in Chrome after downloading some random stuff.

It would likely take no more than two minutes to bring Chrome back to its standard settings, which is great they acknowledged the issue.

I had to assist a student at my school, and Avast helped fix it on a high level or something.

You require an external solution because Chrome lacks a built-in feature to reset the browser settings internally.

Great job, a teammate asked me to check their PC and Chrome looked really bad. It took me a long time to fix it, and I’d love having that tool then!
