I shared two previous posts but didn’t get any replies. I’m thinking about setting up Chrome OS Flex once it’s ready. My setup has a 256 GB SSD for boot and a 1 TB HDD with all my documents. During installation, the system doesn’t tell me which drive it will use, so how can I avoid losing files or needing a backup? Also, I have many Word (.docx) files—can Chrome OS open those without issues?

Chrome OS is still in Beta, so functionality might be inconsistent. I tested it on a single laptop, but the Wi-Fi adapter didn’t work, preventing the "connect to network" prompt even after booting. When using Chrome OS Flex, there’s an option to try without installing, though you won’t progress without a network connection.
