Chrome lags waiting for HDD to spin up
Hello everyone. My system uses an NVMe SSD as the boot disk along with two hard drives. Chrome runs on the boot disk while games are stored on the hard drives. Recently, I've experienced strange behavior: when I switch to a tab I haven't opened in a while, Chrome freezes completely and I can hear the HDDs spinning. Once the whine stops—because it hit 7200 RPM—it works again. I'm wondering if Chrome is saving cache on the slower drive or if something else is causing this issue, and how I can resolve it.
