7950X3D will handle close to the 7800X3D for gaming, offering much improved performance for work. I wouldn’t trade X3D for gaming.

It’s clear to agree with this perspective. With the current challenges around Intel chips and the impressive performance of X3D processors, it makes total sense. Plus, AMD’s backing AM5 for a while longer—though I’m not sure how long exactly—and Intel seems forced to shift its strategy, possibly even skipping the second-gen refresh for the 200 series (Arrow Lake). Honestly, AMD is clearly dominating right now.
