I’m preparing a custom PC soon and wondered if switching from Windows Pro to Home would make a big difference. I heard Pro is recommended, but what’s the real distinction? What advantages does Pro offer? And for gaming performance, would it really matter? You can check more details here: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Cv2Pjc

You can search online for the distinctions. For gaming purposes, it doesn't matter. If you want the capabilities of Win10 Pro, obtain it. Otherwise, choose Win10 Home.

For someone new, save a few dollars and choose Home. Pro offers some great options, but they might not be useful unless you actively use them.

Also note that you can launch a fresh Windows 10 setup using an outdated Windows 7 or 8 laptop/OEM desktop key, even if you don’t currently use it.

You can usually locate the product key in the system settings or control panel of your Acer laptop from around 2013. Look for a section labeled "Product Key," "License Information," or similar. If you're unsure, check the documentation that came with your laptop or contact Acer support for assistance.

If your computer has Windows, you can use a tool named ProduKey to obtain your license key.

OEM licenses cannot be passed along. They remain tied to the motherboard they're initially installed on. Just retail licenses are allowed.
