Hello, I’m looking to improve my PC parts. Right now I have a GTX 1660 Super, a Core i5 9400f with stock cooler, and a B360M motherboard. For the moment I can focus on either the graphics card (possibly moving to a 3060 Ti or 3070) or upgrading my CPU, motherboard, and RAM. Which one should I tackle first? Thanks.

You’re looking to improve your setup. Are you motivated by capability or a particular title? Which system are you currently using, and do you have any intentions of switching to a different display soon?

I use 1080p at 144Hz, play AAA and FPS games. For Warzone I want smoother performance—should I upgrade the GPU first or other parts?

For playing at 1080p with a high refresh rate, you'll require a powerful CPU and GPU.

Competitive Warzone environments should aim for minimal settings, meaning prioritize boosting your CPU/mobo setup before adjusting the GPU for better performance.

It's difficult to give a definite answer, but upgrading to a Core i7 (possibly a 9700) seems reasonable. You likely won't need a new motherboard unless you want OC capabilities with K processors. Your RAM situation also matters—16GB at 3200MHz is sufficient. Could you share your motherboard model and your current RAM specs?

Sorry for the delay, I own an MSI B360M mortar and a Corsair Vengeance 16GB RAM at 2666MHz.

I’m not sure which part to upgrade first. My current budget is about $600.
