Hey there, I need to upgrade the RAM in my laptop from a single 8GB 1x16 slot. I'm considering two options: 2x 8GB 1x8 modules. But I'm having trouble telling if they're x8 or x16 since they don't list this info publicly. Do you know what these modules are actually called? Also, I have a Crucial Ballistix BL2K8G32C16S4B at 3200 MHz, DDR4, 16GB (two 8GB sticks), CL16.

It seems unusual to approach the situation this way. There are many questionable motivations, and I don’t see any clear benefits.
