Setting up my first PC is exciting, but choosing the right operating system feels tricky. A friend offered both free options, making it hard to decide. Some believe Windows 8 isn’t ideal for gaming, though I’m not certain. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

w8 performs much better than w7, but using cracked versions can cause issues when installing various programs or games over time. Consider purchasing w10 instead.

I’d choose win 8, though it’s more about personal taste. The game might run slightly smoother, and you can shape how it feels to play.

Windows 8 offers more gaming capabilities than what’s available now. However, I haven’t found anything truly positive about it. In fact, I personally dislike it. While there are solutions for many of the issues I find annoying, upgrading to something that requires fixes feels unnecessary. I’ve seen others push for Windows 10 because it’s free, but according to my research and a quick search, that’s still uncertain. I wouldn’t consider it until you have a clear answer either way.

Someone suggested installing Windows 8 to get Windows 10 for free. I wondered if Windows 10 would still have issues similar to Windows 8, and I’m stuck. The person giving me the OS asked why I was getting it when Windows 7 is better. I’m not sure and might want another perspective.

Windows 7 exists mainly for reliability, while Windows 8 had a limited time due to its instability.

The situation with "lending" software under a license seems tricky. I'm not sure if Windows 10 will be free for 8.1 users, and I can't find a clear reason to base that decision on it. Even if it might change, I need solid evidence to support it. New operating systems always have issues, but they usually get fixed over time. This isn't about rejecting an OS early; it's more about not being the first to adopt something that's still evolving. The developer version doesn’t fully meet my expectations right now, but it’s progressing significantly compared to previous versions like Vista and Windows 8. Microsoft seems to be moving in a steady direction with each release, favoring gradual improvements over sudden changes. This scenario could shift as the product continues to develop.
