Both cards are Nitro+ and the RX 480 costs four dollars less than the RX 570
Very close in similarity, but I’d select the 570 due to driver factors. The 480 will be reduced earlier.
So then I think I'll go with the RX 570 because it's just a couple of bucks more.
You already have a 480GB SSD, perfect for 1080p gaming sessions.
You can simply update BIOS 480 to 580, which explains why you skip 570. Even if the card gets damaged, you might be able to rebuild it using another GPU for video output. If you go too far and destroy it completely, you could remove the VBIOS and reprogram it with a cheaper BIOS programmer like the Ch341A.
Many people feel uneasy about updating BIOS settings, and others lack a backup card in case things go wrong. I still favor using newer equipment. The Rx 480 is already six years old. Even with drivers that disable it alongside the 570, it’s a year or two behind and more prone to failure.
