Also, when I said future proof I meant about five years ahead. If the Ryzen 5 5600X is better, I won’t need to upgrade as long as I choose the i7 10700K. Thanks for your help and for all the advice on which CPU to pick!

Absolutely, both options are solid right now and they’ll likely hold up well for many years to come. I’m confident the next generation will improve upon what we have today.
