I was considering a solid mobile gaming PC but heard MSI is typically the best choice for high-end VRMs. ASUS seems solid too, though their BIOS might be worth checking before buying. Gigabyte was decent for some setups, but I’m not sure about X570 boards. ASUS can surprise sometimes, and I’m still figuring out who else stands out for X570 mainstream options.

I needed extra cores because I wanted to distribute tasks among them for higher efficiency. Having more cores improves performance in a workstation environment.

The 3700X looks suitable for your needs. It's surprising how a $750 CPU fits a small budget. The overall PC budget seems manageable. Rendering on 12 cores while playing games is helpful sometimes. I'm aiming for around 240hz gaming. Shipping within the US is straightforward. Currently, 32 GB of RAM is included.

The issues lie with the X470 and lower models missing certain newer features found in X570 and higher boards. Also, the CPUs paired with X570 offer notable benefits. Extra cache can be valuable, and tweaking the infiniBay fabric along with CCXes for optimal use is something a workstation would desire.

I believe there were additional reasons beyond the entire workstation. Most of my cases are already in use, and upgrading to Ryzen 3000 has been challenging due to cooling issues. The airflow has been inconsistent. For a few of them, I’m opting for microATX designs, and the 3800X is a full ATX Thorv2 case. I’m considering the 3950X because it offers extra cores suited for my intended workload, which could save money in the long run. Also, I think using something less powerful would reduce the risk of damaging the chip.
