You're considering two options for your build: the MSI B450M Mortar and the Asrock B450 Steel Legend. Both fit your budget in the Philippines, with prices around $105 and $103 respectively. The Mortar is praised for its better VRMs which could help with cooler temperatures, while the Steel Legend offers a more attractive look and improved audio quality. Since you're not overclocking much and might use Precision Boost, either choice should work well.

This motherboard features BIOS flashback, enabling BIOS updates without a CPU installation, which means you don’t need the retailer to provide the update.

Steel Legend is a strong choice for a motherboard, among the top B450 options. If you manage to get the shop that sells the board to update it yourself, it becomes an even better deal.

In reality, the Asrock BIOS isn't that terrible (except if they updated it from the x99 era), it's just something to get accustomed to.

I'll definitely take that into account. I should contact them to see if they can flash it for me. If not, I'll proceed with the Mortar. Appreciate the ideas!
